Transfer Pricing - controlling risk and dealing with challenges

A one-day course which will help you understand how to improve your level of comfort with regards to transfer pricing risk management and dealing with challenges from tax authorities. The course uses case studies and real life examples to demonstrate practical aspects of designing, implementing and defending effective transfer pricing policies. 

• Learn practical methods and policies for mitigating transfer pricing risks
• Understand how to assess your level of risk and the degrees and methods of assurance that are appropriate for financial reporting and tax purposes
• Gain a better understanding of how and when to involve foreign subsidiaries, business representatives and specialist advisers
• The course is delivered by a Transfer Pricing specialist formerly of HM Revenue and Customs, providing first hand insight into tax authority methods and policies
• Learn how tax authorities undertake risk assessments and what makes your business more or less likely to be selected for audit
• Be prepared if you are audited - understand the tactics and negotiating parameters used by tax authorities
• Understand the value of using advance agreements and arbitration channels

The course is run for a small group of delegates and will be of most benefit to those who have some reasonable understanding of the basics of transfer pricing theory. The case studies and examples are used as a basis for triggering some practical discussions and the sharing of best practices among participants, in a very interactive and informal format.
